End of the Weeeeeekkkkkk

What made me happy: I finished my final project!
What made me sad: I missed a day of school.
What I learned: I finally learned how to make my audio sound good when it is apart of a narration.
What I want to learn: How to live on my own without my parental. @.@

I found it interesting how they incorporated memes and the real world, it all seemed very well planned out and neatly done. The audio also seemed good and nicely synced.

Disney just being Disney

1. I didn't know that Disney was making a movie based off of Dia de Los Muertos. 2. I didn't know that they were trying to have it trademarked. 3. I didn't know that there was a huge uproar about it.

1. I found it interesting that people were thinking that Disney was going to "own" the holiday. 2. I found it interesting that there was a lack of research done by people to see that there is no way that Disney could actually own the holiday due to legal reasons.

1. Would Disney have gotten the rights if they hadn't withdrawn?

Documentary Mistakes

1. I didn't know that having a question that needs to be answered could make a good documentary. 2. I didn't know that a bad soundtrack could ruin your film. 3. I didn't know that having a strong vision would help with the making of a documentary.

1. The grammar in this article really bothered me. It made me not want to read it. 2. I like the tips and I feel that they would be very useful for future film making.

1. Why is going for a homemade effect a bad thing?

Brave

1. I didn't know that Brave was about a Tomboy that was to break the stereotype of all princesses having to be pretty. 2. I didn't know that the creator made it based off of her teenage daughter. 3. I didn't know that Disney was causing issues with the creator by making Merida more feminine.

1. I hate to say it, but since I haven't seen the movie, it's hard for me to say whether or not the difference between the two pictures is extremely drastic. 2. I find it interesting how Disney has little to say about the "blatant sexism" while the creator and many other mothers are pretty much freaking out.

1. Why did Disney not ask for consent before changing the princess's image?

I really like this person's cinematography. His name is Devin Graham and all of his shots seem so nicely planned out and well executed. The locations that he always uses are also breath-taking.

Crowdfunding and the Future of Animation

1. I didn't know shows were trying to raise money on their own. 2. I didn't know that shows were saved by the fans. 3. I didn't know that companies rarely ever give the rights back to the owner.

1. I found it interesting that shows are now trying to raise money to make their animations. 2. I like how the article talks about the plus sides and the downsides of crowdfunding.

1. Why crowdfunding?

Standards of Living

1. A guy named Aaron Mento made an independent film using JUST an iPad 2. 2. He wrote a script that had the iPad 2 in mind. 3. He hired an audio team.

1. I thought it was interesting that he didn't use any filters for the film. 2. I found it interesting that he made a unique video with limited resources.

1. Why an iPad 2 though?
