Weekly stuffs

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rkddkbu-EMA

I like the storyline. I think it's cute in its own little way. The characters are also cute.

What made me happy, I'm finally working on my Kinetic Type.

What made me sad, I'm just STARTING my Kinetic Type with VERY limited time.

What I learned, I learned how to use After Effects.

What I want to learn, I want to learn how to take two videos, from two different time periods, from the same spot, and splice them together.

My precious....

1. I didn't know that motion tracking was used in The Hobbit. I knew it was for Avatar though. 2. I didn't know that there were so many difficult things required just to make one character appear to have human qualities. 3. I didn't know that Motion Tracking was becoming more popular on movie sets. I thought people were just becoming better animators.

1. I thought it was really interesting reading about how the suite was made, and what was needed to make it the way that it is now. I liked how the writer talked about trial and error. 2. I liked how the writer discussed the evolution of Motion Tracking. It was cool discovering all the different places that motion tracking has been used.

1. How expensive is just one of the motion tracking outfits?

Viral

1. I didn't know that there was such a thing as "video seeding". 2. I didn't know that you can pay people to do all the work for you. 3. I didn't know that there was business based off JUST making videos go "viral".

1. I thought that the article was very insightful about how a video becomes viral. 2. I thought it was very interesting to learn about the typical price range to make a video become popular.

1. Is it expensive to run a business that works solely on making videos popular?

fdnjkdgklhbsejbkgrebkjsegjbkgse AH!!

I was happy because I finally finished my tutorials.
I was/am sad because I got food poisoning after a day at BOCES.
I want to learn how to think of good ideas for my short film thingy. D:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LOMbySJTKpg

The message behind it is amazing. The characters are unique in their own way. I also feel that the story was nicely paced. I cried at the end.

Seriously cried.

Avengasssssssssdfghjhtyjk,uil.

1. I didn't know that the Avengers were in the top three for most earned money of all time. 2. I didn't know that a lot could be done with a solid base idea, and be continually built off. xD 3.Companies worked together, they will make more money.

1. I like how it talks about future plans. 2. I like how it discusses possible outcomes.

1. Why wasn't this plot kick started sooner?

Petah Remsayyyyyfsdgfslkjbsfngkjb

1. I didn't know he helped out with Rise of the Guardians. 2. I didn't know that he wasn't making fun of Santa and such. 3. I didn't know that he had a hand in the movie A.I.

1. I thought the article was very informative on Peter Ramsey's opinions on everything. 2. I liked how well answered the questions were by Ramsey.

1. Did he feel that he achieved exactly what he was aiming for?

Sunday, December 2, 2012

OMGZ. TWYHERDS FO LYFE.

1. I didn't know that people were letting this BS affect their love life... REALLY?! 2. People wrote books about it. 3. Men's feelings can be hurt.

1. ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDING?! 2. Why would people let real world lives be affected by a FAKE BS STORY ABOUT SPARKLING VAMPIRES AND WEREWOLVES... AND UGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!! WTF?

My only question.... REALLY?

WHO LIVES IN A PINEAPPLE UNDER THE SEA?!

1. I had no clue that S.B.S.P was done in an animation!! 2. I didn't know that the guy that I wrote an essay on last year was a part of the making! :o 3. They take a lot of effort in the stop motion to make sure they're really good!

1. I thought it was really cool that Mark was a part of it. 2. I love Spongebob and after reading this article, it makes me want to watch the animation.

Why waste so much food?

LET'S DO THIS

What made me happy: I finally finished my documentary.

What made me sad: After Effects takes a lot effort.

What I learned: After Effects is really cool once you get into it. :D

What I want to learn: How to properly do a Dolly-Zoom shot and be able to use it in a video.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WFCvkkDSfIU

The style is really cool! I like how it's done, and it's not only entertaining, but educational!! :D

Fancy New Glasses, NOT!

1. I thought glasses like this were already made, so it was interesting to see that people were still looking into it. 2. People can look cool wearing them. 3. They can somehow specially select certain colors.

1. I think it sounds like a waste of money. For $300 to $400 I would want to see visual proof before I risk spending that much money. 2. The glasses are in no way stylish and will make you look like a hipster. There is no variety. They seriously look like 3-D glasses from the regal. And the other pair looks like they were made for creepy old people that are pedophiles.

Who the heck invented these so that I can slap them?

(the picture was taken the EnChroma website, these are the "Cx-NRG Gamma" glasses.)

                                        Explorer Cx Gamma Shiny Black

(These are the "EnChroma Cx-NRG Explorer" glasses)

EnChroma Cx Explorer Matte Silver Large

The Bay

1. I never knew that there were flesh eating isopods. 2. I had no clue that there was a dead zone in Chesapeake Bay. 3. I didn't know that cellphones were actually an effective tool in filming for a professional movie.

1. I thought that the article was very informative about a real world situation in a fictional movie. 2. I thought it was cool how the article discussing the director's reasons behind using cellphones, especially where he had to trust so many people to actually film things and hope that they are good.

My only question is: Was it a pain in the butt to edit??

The Norm for me.

Well, I was happy that I got to film in the tattoo shop.

I was frustrated by learning about Ae.

I am STILL looking forward to the combat fighting.

I learned this week, that adding your own style to a documentary, does in fact, make it more interesting.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uocO56FhbyE

I really liked the style of the character, and his walking was really cool. Especially in a video where people were moving and the setting was done on a video. I also  liked the music that was picked.

This week!

I was happy to learn how to finally use the cameras! I was hoping to start using them soon!

I was frustrated when the camera refused to focus on a leaf. It took my a little bit to figure it out, but I finally did after so note re-reading.

I'm looking forward to doing some combat fighting videos. :D That is going to be so exciting to me!

I learned this week, that team work and planning things out ahead of time is going to be a very important thing to get down to a tee.

 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=12R2FOgBywY

I thought this was a very good video for anyone interested in doing a murder scene or anything along the lines of gore. It is a very good idea within itself. It's affordable and a great way to make this effect seem real in a way.

Ermmmm..... Derp.

Correction on the princesses name, Sofia...

Anyways, I didn't know that actors were a main important piece to making a good film, I knew they were important, but not like that. I also didn't know that Directors do so little but get so much fame because of it. I thought that they actually were a big part in everything.

I thought that this article was very informing on WHAT a director really is. I also liked how it said a little bit of explaining on how to talk to actors and the people the director is to be working with. That would be extremely helpful in the long run. Especially since it mentioned that expressing what you want the viewers to feel is the most important.

My only question would be, Why do directors get most of the fame when a film is made?

You learn something new everyday..

I never really noticed that Disney tried making diverse princesses. So that was very interesting to find out. I didn't know that there was an issue with a princess being Latina. What's the issue with that? As an added thing, I thought that Disney movies WERE based off of different places around the world, not just little bits and pieces.

I thought that this article was very informing on the situation with the new princess. I really had no clue that there was going to be a new one. Who is of mixed heritage nonetheless. I thought that it was very good in seeing that there was a new princess being introduced. I think Sophia will do a great job in showing the "melting pot" that is so desperately needed in the world.

My question is, Where there every be a Disney story about a girl in poverty?

It's that time again!

I was interested in the shows Ms. Licata had us watch on Friday. I was also happy with the fact that I manage to find a documentary topic that so many would be willing to help me with. I'm very content.

I was sad to find out that I ALMOST got a 100 on a project but just missed it. :(

I learned that there are some pretty cool things that can be done in Premier.

I want to learn how to use a green screen and stage fight. That would be so rad!

I got frustrated by my audio scavenger hunt thing. I was worried we weren't going to turn it in on time.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cO7opxiJhWQ

I liked how nicely she explains how to do the makeup. It's very informing. I also thought that this would be great as a little peek into makeup that can be done in videos.

They want what??

I had no clue that people were being expected to give up their networking information. I didn't know action was being taken to stop it. I also didn't know that it was a big issue.

I like knowing about this situation. I also like knowing that laws are being passed to protect people's privacy against these things.

Why did this even begin?

Why didn't he do this when I was bald????

I had no clue that there was such unique pictures like this! Nor did I know that pictures could be taken by a sound trigger. And I had no clue that that pictures could be taken within a millisecond.

I thought this was a very interesting post. I would really enjoy seeing this done with women.

Can he give me a water mohawk the next time I buzz my head???

Joss Whedon

Okay, so right off the bat I didn't know that he made two movies that I LOVE.  I didn't know that he directed the Avengers, and I didn't know that his tips would actually be very helpful in the way that they were.

I liked how the tips were helpful in the way that a person can improve. I thought the tip about the drought before the rain was very interesting. How he pretty much says, Be patient, and it will come.

My only question would be, "Which tip would you suggest a person to follow the most?"

I fangirl over Tim Burton

I never knew that Tim Burton had made Frankenweenie originally as a short film. I didn't know that he incorporated his own life into it. Nor did I know that people needed to make tiny clothes for his stop motion characters that would be easy to move in. I assumed that material would already be easy enough.

I thought that the article was very informing about the film and the story behind it. I also found it interesting as to how many aspects were needed to make a stop motion which they claim to be "simple".

My only question would be, Has Burton ever incorporated his own life into any of his other films?

What happened this week!

I learned this week that there are a lot of interesting things that can be done using JUST sound and audacity.

I hope to learn on how to use a green screen! I think that would be really awesome! :)

What I was frustrated with this week was the lack of certain sounds that one would think to be plentiful.

What made me happy this week? I turned in an assignment on time, BEFORE ALEX.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2gxrI5CPYIM&feature=related

I thought that the style and the story were really cute and interesting. The style has a very unique twist t it that I think would be awesome for children.

Well, Doing This Again..

I learned that when I finally figure things out on my own, I can actually use photoshop successfully.

I hope to learn what "sound speeds" means!

I got frustrated when I couldn't figure out which animals I wanted to combine.

What made me happy? Well, I'm happy THAT I FINALLY FIGURED OUT PHOTOSHOP!!!!

I really enjoyed the detail that was put into this short animation. I also thought that the story was really well thought of, even though there was no dialog.

I really enjoyed watching this one. The idea behind it is so true. And it was really well executed. I like how in some parts they were actually able to use a real person, which really added to the affect.

He's got a few good points.

1. I never thought about attending film festivals and watching other people's films. That IS a really good way to meet other people that can help!
2. I kinda thought that I had to learn all the different parts to movie making, but he definitely confirmed it.
3. I didn't know that being a movie buff would help.

1. I liked how the actual words of the director were used. It was very cool to see that the tips were coming from a successful moviemaker.
2. I liked how the tips were real world things that are possible, and extremely helpful!

1. In film making, is it better to make your OWN world, use the real world, or mix both together?

Blah: 3-D and stuff.

1. I didn't know that the companies were making so much from putting old movies back in theaters by using 3-D.
2. Nor did I know that there was going to be about 60 3-D releases this year. That's ridiculous!
3. I really had no clue that indie filmmakers managed to use 3-D.

1. I thought it got its point across well.
2. That's kind of stupid that filmmakers are milking this whole 3-D thing until it dies.

1. Why can't 3-D be used more to make it look more towards there depth?

Friday, September 21, 2012

What the Heck is a 3-D Printer?

Well, first off I had no clue that there was a 3-D printer! Nor did I know that it was used to launch a guy's miniature face into space! That's really cool. :O And I also didn't know that there were numerous investors interested in this invention.

I thought that the article was very informing. I also found it interesting as in how it talked about the unexpected demand for the product.

My question is, Will they ever make the 3-D Scanner more kid friendly, and will it kick the toy industry in the butt by affecting its future sales?

Well then, What I've Learned?

I learned this wek, that I am HORRIBLE at Photoshop. Which is rather irritating.

I really would like to learn how to make videos.

What made me happy this week? Nothing. Seriously, nothing has made me happy this week because my stress level in this class is at a breaking point.

Layers in photoshop frustrated me, mainly the adjustment layers and such.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?annotation_id=annotation_612043&feature=iv&src_vid=M8aBlOOGSgo&v=qZtlSVgG1h8

I thought that this was really cool and informing for people, like me, who have to work with a low budget.

THE LAST BLOG... FOR NOW!

In general, what did you like most about this class?

- Getting to become friends with people who have the same interests as me.

What was your favorite project and why?

- Rotoscoping. I liked it because it has a unique style that keeps my interest. I get to sit and draw, for countless hours and it forces my mind to stay still and pay attention to detail.

In general, what did you like least about this class?

- There was nothing I really disliked. If I had to choose though, I would probably pick typography.

What was your least favorite project and why?

- The Abstract Audio. I found it really boring and none of the music interested me. So having a boring project, didn't keep my attention.

What are your future plans upon graduation?

- Will be doing a lot of costume designing and planning, gain some sewing skills, and learn techniques for making objects appear to be heavier than they appear. Ex: Mock armor made from Craft foam.

Do you feel that this class will help you achieve your future academic or career goals? Please give specific examples.

- It'll help me present a 3-D design of a monster before making the actual thing on a person. Changed and thoughts could be made ahead of time.

What advice would you give to incoming students?

- Try your hardest, no facebook and simply have fun with it.

Additional comments:

- Imma miss everyone until I see them next year. :(

I will totally miss the three seniors that are graduating and I hope they prosper in the future of their desired career that they intend on pursuing. <3

I don't know what this is about, but it was really well animation.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Uuq8GunJjos&feature=related

I like the idea that was in this animation. The style is really good too.

Sigh..

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=phkuM2DkRj0

The simple animation is so cute. <3 I love it.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I2S_LckbdMM

The animation and music were nice. The story was cute but simple.

Ninja Love

I learned that being on a team at competitions is very helpful.

I want to learn how to be super fast at animating.

What made me happy was the fact that we got 2nd place! EEEEEKKKK!

What made me sad was the fact that now I have to finish all this work. @.@

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XQPdOtMyxJU&feature=related

Let's give them a hand!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c86I-ZQiXZw&feature=related

It was a cute story, it was funny. I also liked the music and characters.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?NR=1&feature=endscreen&v=sC7rIZ5dOPY

Omg. xD The voice were good, but the story... that was in its own category!

THIS IS WAR!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6gK3Ijv_7A4

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UrL7A5A4Rxs&feature=relmfu

This is a very nicely done animation! The story is very interesting and the animation has a very unique style.

4/20...

Alright, so what I was having problems with so far is random things popping up in my animation. What is easiest so far is that there's a bass in the background music that makes things easier. What I'm looking forward to is Video Production next year! :D And I wanna learn how to be a beast at animation!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JATr3vNOIYA&feature=related

Well what about...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z30ZP0AoAdU&feature=related

I really liked the story. :) It was cute!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lc-vINJmhNk&feature=related

This is how I am in the morning! Everything about it was very good. :D

WELL THEN...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=omSdBQjvVwE

It was cute and simple. I liked how the music and people intertwined with each other. :D

http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=endscreen&NR=1&v=2KLNiMXrYM0

It's a very good animation, some of the movement was awkward though.

Friday, March 30, 2012

Anyways...

What made me sad: I didn't get to make my 11-seconds man more stern looking.

What made me happy: I finished it on time!!

What I wanna do: Start on the creepy doll animation!

What I learned: I can draw without a tablet pretty well. :)

Madness

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yC0Gqt8VRKk&feature=related

The animation is very interesting. The use of sounds id very well done.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rO0yXC0oyIA&feature=related

This is probably the most well executed short film I have seen so far. It is well done from what I have seen. Disappointing that I didn't get to watch the whole thing.

Something to Say...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2umWjbTY_Sk

I like the style of the animation. It is very unique and different. Which I like. It is a Christian song, but both the song and video are beautifully intertwined. The mood of the music and video fit well together.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hhfhgbmZe9s

This animation did very well in using music to express the animation

Monday, March 19, 2012

We meet again old friend...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?NR=1&feature=endscreen&v=DlyuBsrVeHU

I like the style and music of it. Very simple, but the message is clear. :)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a6GEEi67atc&feature=related

I like the simple background music and subtle sounds. :) The reactions were well done too.

Friday, March 9, 2012

I wonder...

Well, I'm starting my abstract audio which is pretty interesting.

I learned that I can pause my music in flash. -.-"

I wanna learn how to use that Papagyo thingy soon! Whatever it's called!

What made me sad was that my animation didn't work out how I planned, but what made me happy was that I worked around my problems and finished it. :)

http://lolsnaps.com/news/17634/0/ <--- I thought this was really cute

Cactus

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VLNJ9rAiv2E

I thought this was really funny. I liked how everything was animated with the wind.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=endscreen&NR=1&v=kf0OZIsRJ0E

I LOVED the little story. I found this whole thing amusing.

Derp-Herp: EXPLODING WHALE?!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dM4pgnkGUgE

Omg. Yes. This was just funny. It was awesome on how exaggerated they made everything.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dM7icT5Lnxk&feature=related

I am jealous of this animation model. It was well thought out. :)

Friday, March 2, 2012

Oiiiiii QnQ

Animation is slightly stressful at this moment. RENDERING is where my problem is. It takes forever to do what I want it to do. :( But on the bright side, I'm going to finish. Maybe a little late, but it's better than not finishing at all. I'm excited to start working on the Abstract audio. AND I FINALLY LEARNED HOW TO ADD FREAKIN TITLES TO MY ANIMATIONS! :D

Thursday, March 1, 2012

DANCING HAMPSTERS?! :o

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f2xDiXhrLPc&feature=related

I just found this so amusing! The animation in it was really well executed in my opinion.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8s5yWPSuANc

I enjoyed the story behind it. :D

On the Brightside :)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-zm6i-C0p1Y&ob=av3e

I like how simple it is. It made me smile. :) I liked how it also showed symbolism in it.

http://www.youtube.com/user/redbullrecords?v=jm9-yVdxbSs

I liked how they mixed the different materials that they used in the stop motion.

Friday, February 10, 2012

Welllll

It's the end of the week, and we watched a video.

I'm looking forward to doing the independent projects!!

I had problems with the walking cycle in Cheetah, but it's okay now. I gots this. :P

I was happy because I solved this. :)

Eat your Veggies!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DXbWkZ1ChdM

I like how they gave it the old fashion effect, but the sound didn't really fit properly in certain spots, and some sounds were repeated numerous times.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zcdKhwD2HiY&feature=endscreen&NR=1

This one was so cute!! It all had a nice relaxing aura and feel to it. They style was nice and simplistic and added to the relaxed feeling.

Silly children!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0Sqqu10oC8c&feature=related

I found the animation technique quite enjoyable. I also liked how the pin was looking around dodging the different bowling balls and hiding behind other pins.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i26n2igm1Y0&feature=related

I liked in this one the objects had faces that actually expressed how they felt.

Wednesday, February 1, 2012

Anywayssss

I'm learning how to make a scene and stuff. It's taking some effort, but I am slowly learning. I really can't wait to see how this turns out! I wanna do the projects soon, BUT I am not looking forward to the lip syncing.... Just saying

HERPPPPPPP

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9t3WHB2cSwc

I just liked the whole meaning of it. The music was funny too. The animation colors could've been better though.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6VpAgP4Uz4E&feature=related

I know he looks like a monkey and all, but this was pretty good animating. :D

Where da milk at?

I liked the style that was used, like, the very simplistic style.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7M3tmmP2DHc

DON'T DRINK MY MILK. lol. I liked the story. :D

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7qLBhTcJlx0

I thought that the t-rex was animated really well. Same with the sounds, they fit in really good. :D

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KRrwZe_h4FU

BHJEKFGHJKGIUUIGGSVHUIEFVHUVHO:ESHJ!!!

3-D scares me already!! I was sitting here and now I'm confused with the program. Q.Q I'm learning how to use it though. VERY. SLOWLY. I think the biggest problem I'm going to face is learning all the tools and such. I really can't wait till I learn what I'm doing. :P

WOOOTTTTSSSS

I thought that the style was cool. Except it's kinda creepy in some parts. But I thought the color and stuff was nice.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WK3O_qZVqXk&feature=g-vrec&context=G229b5a5RVAAAAAAAADQ

I'm not sure why, but I found this video entertaining! O.o
